Certificate of High Standards and Quality of UNIOR Tools Renewed

After first receiving the prestigious European Quality Trademark (EQTM) in 2022, UNIOR’s hand tools have successfully renewed the validity of the certificate this year. The renewal confirms that the company consistently maintains the highest standards of quality, responsibility, and European origin of its products.

The EQTM certificate is one of the few in Europe that confirms not only product quality but also its European origin. To renew the certificate, UNIOR had to prove that it still meets ten demanding criteria – from ensuring workplace safety and environmental management to verifiable European product origin, quality management systems, and customer satisfaction.

UNIOR has a long-standing tradition of certified quality. As early as 1994, UNIOR obtained its first ISO 9001 certificate, becoming one of the first Slovenian companies with an internationally recognized quality management system. Today, the company also operates under ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 50001 (energy management), and ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety) standards.

A special feature of the EQTM certificate is that it can only be awarded to products for which more than 60 percent of materials and services originate from Europe. At UNIOR, this share reaches as high as 86 percent, proving that UNIOR’s hand tools are European in quality, values, and origin. The certificate is valid for three years, with regular compliance audits ensuring continuous maintenance and reaffirmation of the company’s commitment to quality.

Companies without the EQTM certificate often declare European origin only on paper, without independent verification.
