UNIOR HAND TOOLS SUCCESSFULLY FINISHED THE 2020 MOTORSPORT SEASON WITH UNIOR RACING TEAM, HONDA SR, KALLIO RACING AND TEAM SIXTYTWO
With our expertise, technologically refined products and synergistic collaboration with motorsport teams, Unior Hand Tools have achieved a breakthrough in the field of motorsport. Supporting some of the most prominent teams has allowed us to take a step forward and become more recognizable in this field as well. We will be continuing our story in upcoming year, again by managing our own Unior Racing Team and by supporting the Honda France SR Motoblouz, Kallio Racing Team and Team SIXTYTWO led by Klemen Gerčar.
This year was unique for the motorsport industry as well, as we were forced to watch many of the races from the comfort of our home due to the pandemic. Thus, competitors had to make with virtual spectators who watched and cheered them on via large LED screens. This, however, did not deter most of the racers from putting up their best performances on the motorcycle tracks and providing many breath-taking moments and twists.
Martin Vugrinec or SpiderMartin as many calls him achieved excellent results in this 2020 season racing for the Unior Racing Team. In the IDM races, the Supersport 600 category, he provided many interesting twists and turns throughout the season and almost won first place at the end. The victory narrowly escaped from his grasp, but he still managed to beat his own result from last year, when he finished third and was on the IDM winning podium in the Supersport 600 category. In the end, the IDM champion title in the overall standings in that category was won by Luca Grünwald on a Kawasaki, who was pushed really hard for it, as Martin was constantly breathing down the neck. Third place in the overall standings went to Max Enderlein, the defending champion from previous season. The second place belonged to Martin Vugrinec. The young racer, originally from Croatia, now has a tough off-season ahead of him, as he gets ready for the 2021 season. He is predicting a tough fight and will be looking to win the IDM champion title. At the same time, Martin is aware that his enthusiasm, desire to win, unstoppable energy and a technically refined team are the key factors to his success.
Honda, Kallio and SIXTYTWO all happy with the 2020 season!
After the MXGP World Championship, the Honda France SR Motoblouz team was satisfied, as their drivers Jeremy Van Horebeek and Valentin Guillod often finished among the TOP 10 drivers. Given the difficult conditions on the sand and elsewhere, they are aware that minor upgrades in the teams will be needed, so they will be continuing the 2021 season with a slightly changed line-up. Nonetheless, they are proud that Honda has once again finished among the top 10, which means that they are on the right track to finishing on the winning podium and achieving the best results.
Similarly successful results were recorded by the Kallio Racing team, with their two racers, Isaac Viñales and Hannes Soomer, often finishing in the top 10. They also reached the podium this year, as Jerez won first place for the Kallio Racing Junior team.
Despite a slightly tougher season, the SIXTYTWO team is also proud of their success, as they won the national title thanks to Jaka Peklaj. Despite the injuries in the second part of the season, Jaka showed his perseverance and won the title of national champion and achieved 3rd place in the Italian Northern Championship. Filip Olsson (EMX250) on sand and Jonathan Bengtsson (MXGP) ended the season in less successful fashion, but are already preparing for the 2021 season as they plan to finish higher, perhaps even on the podium.
